HOW TO USE IT

Skin Care
  • Camellia Seed Oil is excellent to use as a moisturiser because it penetrates very quickly and deeply into the skin, giving your skin optimum hydration without having a greasy feel. Your skin will feel refreshed, smooth and firm.
  • It gives your skin a supple and radiant glow that you can see and feel.
  • Can improve the look of dull and lifeless skin which makes it look younger and fresher.
  • As it contains high levels of antioxidants, use this benefit in age defying creams, lotions and serums.
  • Excellent for all skin types including combination skin.
  • It makes an excellent cleanser just on its own as it lifts dirt and impurities and softens makeup so it can be wiped away cleanly. It is even better when blended with other oils such as in the Cleansing Oil recipe.
  • Camellia Seed Oil is ideal to use as a baby massage oil or after bath oil where just a few drops will sink in quickly and lock in moisture. Use this also after adult baths and showers especially on elbows, knees and feet.
  • It is ideal to use as a cuticle oil as it sinks in so quickly and softens the cuticles and strengthens the nail bed. In a roller ball bottle, it can be applied to the lips and it will help to stop lipstick bleeding the colour.
  • Camellia Seed Oil is one of the first choice oils to use in eye serums and eye creams as it sinks in very quickly and leaves the skin soft and moisturised. It contains naturally occurring squalene.
  • It is protective to the skin as it contains Vitamins A, D, E, K as well as polyphenols and natural antioxidants that safeguard your skin from the damaging effects of UV exposure but it should not be considered as an SPF sunscreen in its own right. Use in daily defence creams, lotions and gels.
  • A good choice for problem skin as it helps to keep the pores clear and is not greasy in application.
Hair Care
  • Camellia Seed Oil gives the hair a smooth and silky shine. It can be used when the hair is wet and gently fingered through evenly whilst adding a little extra to the ends. It can also be applied to dry hair and wrapped in foil or a hot towel to make it penetrate the hair shaft faster.
  • If hair gets very tangled, massage it through the dry hair before you shampoo and it will be easier to comb out afterwards.
  • At any time, a few drops of Camellia Seed Oil can be massaged into the palms and worked through the hair to tame the fly-aways and frizzies.
  • Conditions the scalp so use in shampoos and conditioners.

New to CBD? Not sure where to start? We've got you covered!

What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, another well-known compound found in cannabis, CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won't cause the "high" associated with marijuana use.

CBD is extracted from the hemp plant, a variety of cannabis that contains only trace amounts of THC. It is then processed into various forms, including oils, capsules, edibles, and topicals, which can be used for a wide range of purposes.

CBD interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating a variety of physiological and cognitive processes, such as pain sensation, mood, and sleep. This interaction can potentially lead to a variety of health benefits, including pain relief, reduced inflammation, improved sleep, and reduced anxiety and depression symptoms.

Is CBD legal?

In most places, including the UK, certain CBD products are completely legal to buy and consume. However, please check local legislation before purchasing or consuming any CBD product.

How can CBD help me?

CBD, or cannabidiol, has been shown to potentially provide a wide range of benefits for various conditions. Some of the most commonly reported benefits of CBD include relief from pain and inflammation, reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms, improvement in sleep quality, and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders.

Additionally, CBD may have neuroprotective properties, meaning it could potentially benefit those with neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease.

However, it's important to note that more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits and risks of CBD use.

It's always best to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement or treatment.

Will your products get me high?

No. All of our products contain less than 0.2% THC as per UK/EU laws - please view our Lab results page for more information.

Our products contain no THC so you will not get high/stoned. Our products do contain CBD, CBG and other legal cannabinoids, but you won't get high or stoned like you would if you smoked regular cannabis.

...however, you can get "high" with the entourage effect.

How much CBD should I take?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a type of cannabinoid, one of many compounds found naturally in cannabis plants. There are many different vehicles for consuming CBD such as oils, tablets, capsules, gummies, chocolates, creams and more. Choosing how to take it might seem like the first step, but it might actually be more useful to determine how much you want to take first...

Everyone is different, this means that everyone’s preferred dosage might be slightly different too. You may need to experiment slightly to find a dosage that works for you but here is some information for you to consider

The Food Standards Agency in the UK recommends the maximum daily CBD dosage of 10mg. This advice should not be applied directly to CBD products that are inhaled or applied dermally, nor does it consider exposure from such product types.

Consumers on regular medications should seek advice from a medical professional before using any type of CBD food product. Consult a health professional before using CBD if pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medication.

Our edible products are food supplements and should be taken as part of a varied diet and healthy lifestyle.
