 Why Copper?

Copper has been used for centuries as a bacteria-resistant metal, with new studies confirming these ancient practices.

Copper is one of the best metals to be used for tongue scraping as it helps to maintain good mouth health. The mouth is full of both good and not-so-good bacteria. Copper not only seems to be toxic to the bad bacteria, but it also provides important enzymes that are needed for the healthy microbes in the mouth to survive.

Use & Care

The copper tongue scraper is made of 100% copper.

Copper can oxidise naturally in the air, especially when it comes into contact with humidity or water. Due to this natural oxidation, copper can turn dark or black, and after a longer period of time even green. Copper rust can appear - these are harmless, natural processes and shouldn’t cause alarm.

To clean the copper tongue scraper, rinse the scraper under water after each use, removing any debris or saliva.

*Tip* - Use a little lemon to remove any remaining dark oxidation stains – this will help the copper tongue scraper stay nice and clean and shine in its beautiful, natural copper tones. Ensure that your tongue scraper stays clean and dry between sessions.

How to Scrape your Tongue

  1. Scrape your tongue first thing in the morning, right after you wake up.
  2. Stand in-front of a mirror. Open your mouth and stick out your tongue. Avoid pointing your tongue, as this reduces the surface area and reduces the effectiveness of scraping. Then, reach to the back of your tongue with the scraper and proceed to scrape outward to the tip. Be careful not to press too hard—you don’t want to cut your skin.
  3. Repeat this 5-10 times, reaching as far back as comfortable, rinsing the scraper after each pass to avoid re-depositing all that plaque back on your tongue.
  4. If the gag reflex bothers you, you can try humming to distract yourself whilst doing it; also try not to stretch your tongue too far.
  5. Follow tongue scraping with brushing flossing, and a large glass of water.
  6. Get into the habit of scraping your tongue prior to each brushing.

New to CBD? Not sure where to start? We've got you covered!

What is CBD?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, another well-known compound found in cannabis, CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning it won't cause the "high" associated with marijuana use.

CBD is extracted from the hemp plant, a variety of cannabis that contains only trace amounts of THC. It is then processed into various forms, including oils, capsules, edibles, and topicals, which can be used for a wide range of purposes.

CBD interacts with the body's endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating a variety of physiological and cognitive processes, such as pain sensation, mood, and sleep. This interaction can potentially lead to a variety of health benefits, including pain relief, reduced inflammation, improved sleep, and reduced anxiety and depression symptoms.

Is CBD legal?

In most places, including the UK, certain CBD products are completely legal to buy and consume. However, please check local legislation before purchasing or consuming any CBD product.

How can CBD help me?

CBD, or cannabidiol, has been shown to potentially provide a wide range of benefits for various conditions. Some of the most commonly reported benefits of CBD include relief from pain and inflammation, reduction in anxiety and depression symptoms, improvement in sleep quality, and management of epilepsy and seizure disorders.

Additionally, CBD may have neuroprotective properties, meaning it could potentially benefit those with neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease.

However, it's important to note that more research is needed to fully understand the potential benefits and risks of CBD use.

It's always best to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement or treatment.

Will your products get me high?

No. All of our products contain less than 0.2% THC as per UK/EU laws - please view our Lab results page for more information.

Our products contain no THC so you will not get high/stoned. Our products do contain CBD, CBG and other legal cannabinoids, but you won't get high or stoned like you would if you smoked regular cannabis.

...however, you can get "high" with the entourage effect.

How much CBD should I take?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is a type of cannabinoid, one of many compounds found naturally in cannabis plants. There are many different vehicles for consuming CBD such as oils, tablets, capsules, gummies, chocolates, creams and more. Choosing how to take it might seem like the first step, but it might actually be more useful to determine how much you want to take first...

Everyone is different, this means that everyone’s preferred dosage might be slightly different too. You may need to experiment slightly to find a dosage that works for you but here is some information for you to consider

The Food Standards Agency in the UK recommends the maximum daily CBD dosage of 10mg. This advice should not be applied directly to CBD products that are inhaled or applied dermally, nor does it consider exposure from such product types.

Consumers on regular medications should seek advice from a medical professional before using any type of CBD food product. Consult a health professional before using CBD if pregnant, breastfeeding or taking other medication.

Our edible products are food supplements and should be taken as part of a varied diet and healthy lifestyle.
