Cannabis Derived Terpenes (CDT)
Cannabis-derived terpenes (CDT) are aromatic compounds extracted directly from cannabis plants, offering authentic flavors, aromas, and potential therapeutic benefits. These terpenes interact with cannabinoids like CBD and THC through the entourage effect, enhancing the overall experience and benefits of cannabis products. In the UK, CDT terpenes are sought after for their purity and authenticity, making them ideal for vaping, dabbing, and infusing into various wellness products.
Botanical-Derived Terpenes (BDT)
Botanical-derived terpenes (BDT) are aromatic compounds extracted from natural, non-cannabis plant sources that mimic the flavours and aromas of popular cannabis strains. These steam-distilled terpenes are carefully blended to deliver consistent, strain-specific profiles—without containing any cannabinoids. In the UK, BDTs are a popular choice for enhancing the sensory experience of vapes, concentrates, and wellness products, offering a cost-effective and legal alternative to cannabis-derived terpenes while maintaining rich, authentic flavour.
Premium Isolated Terpenes: Pure Precision for Custom Blends
Premium isolated terpenes are single-molecule aroma compounds extracted from plants through clean, solvent-free steam distillation. Unlike full-spectrum blends, isolated terpenes focus on one specific terpene—like Limonene, Myrcene, or Linalool—giving you full control over formulation, flavour, and effect. Ideal for expert formulators, DIY creators, and product developers, these ultra-pure isolates are perfect for building custom blends or enhancing existing products with targeted functionality and clean, consistent results.

Discover Terpenes: Elevate Your Experience with Nature’s Aromatic Compounds
What Are Terpenes?
Terpenes are aromatic compounds found in plants and some animals. Known for their distinct scents and potential therapeutic properties, terpenes have become popular in aromatherapy, cannabis products, and more. In cannabis, terpenes contribute to each strain's unique scent, flavor, and effect profile.
Where Do Terpenes Come From?
Terpenes are sourced from various plants, including cannabis, herbs, and flowers. Key sources include:
- Cannabis-derived terpenes (CDT): Sourced directly from cannabis, these terpenes capture the original strain’s full aroma, enhancing experiences with authentic profiles.
- Botanical terpenes: Derived from non-cannabis plants, these provide similar aromatic profiles but with greater consistency.
- Live resin terpenes: Captured from fresh, flash-frozen cannabis, live resin terpenes preserve a rich, robust profile.
- HTFSE terpenes (High Terpene Full Spectrum Extract): Known for high terpene concentration, these extracts offer a powerful aroma and flavor experience.

Frequently Asked CBD Questions
What is CBD?
CBD (short for cannabidiol) is one of over a hundred naturally occurring compounds found in the cannabis plant. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive — meaning it won’t get you high — but it may support your body and mind in a variety of ways.
Is CBD legal in the UK?
Yes. CBD is legal in the UK as long as it’s derived from approved hemp strains and contains less than 0.2% THC. All our products meet these legal requirements. If you’re ordering from outside the UK, please check your local laws before purchasing.
How can CBD help me?
CBD interacts with your body’s endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate functions like pain, sleep, stress, and mood. Many people use CBD for managing stress and anxiety, improving sleep, reducing inflammation and pain, supporting recovery after workouts, and enhancing overall wellbeing. Some also find it helpful during cancer treatment, particularly for managing side effects. Always consult a healthcare professional before using CBD if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication.
Will your products get me high?
No. Our products contain less than 0.2% THC and will not get you high or stoned. You may experience a sense of calm or balance, but not a psychoactive effect. Some customers do report feeling the “entourage effect” — a natural synergy between cannabinoids and terpenes — but it’s not the same as being intoxicated.
Do your products contain THC?
Our products contain less than 0.2% THC, fully compliant with UK and EU regulations. You can request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for any batch to see exact cannabinoid content.
Are your products lab tested?
Yes, all of our products are third-party lab tested for potency and purity. You can view the latest lab reports on our Lab Results page.
What’s the difference between CBD, CBG, and other cannabinoids?
While CBD is the most well-known cannabinoid, others like CBG, CBN, and CBC also play important roles. CBG may support focus, mood, and digestion. CBN is commonly used to promote deep sleep. CBC has been linked to pain relief and anti-inflammatory effects. We offer full-spectrum products that contain a blend of these compounds for maximum benefit.
What is the entourage effect?
The entourage effect refers to the enhanced effects you get when cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids work together, as they do in full-spectrum extracts. It’s a natural synergy that can increase the overall impact of your CBD experience.
Will I pass a drug test if I use your CBD products?
While our products contain less than 0.2% THC, using full-spectrum CBD products can still result in a positive drug test, especially with regular or high-dose use. Drug tests typically detect THC, not CBD, but trace amounts of THC can build up over time. If you are subject to testing, consider using a THC-free product and consult with your employer or healthcare provider.
What’s the difference between full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD?
Full-spectrum CBD contains a wide range of naturally occurring cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from the hemp plant — including a small, legal amount of THC (less than 0.2% in the UK). These compounds work together to create the entourage effect, where the overall benefits are believed to be greater than using CBD alone.
Broad-spectrum CBD is similar, but the THC has been completely removed. You still get a rich mix of cannabinoids and terpenes, but without any detectable THC.
Choose full-spectrum if you want the complete hemp experience and don't mind trace amounts of THC. Choose broad-spectrum if you want to avoid THC altogether.
How long does order processing take?
We aim to process orders as quickly as possible. Typically, orders are processed within 24 hours, but most go out much faster.
When will my order be dispatched?
Orders placed before 12 PM GMT (midday) are usually dispatched the same day (Monday–Friday). Orders placed after 12 PM will be processed the next working day.
What are your shipping hours?
We ship Monday to Friday between 9 AM – 5 PM GMT. Orders are not processed or shipped on weekends or UK public holidays.
How can I track my order?
As soon as your order is dispatched, you’ll receive an email with your tracking link so you can follow your delivery every step of the way.
Do you use drop shipping for some items?
Yes. Some of our products are shipped directly from partner warehouses, which may take an extra 1–2 business days to dispatch. If your order contains a mix of in-stock and drop-shipped items, they may arrive separately, but you’ll only pay for shipping once.
Do you ship internationally?
We offer Royal Mail International Tracked shipping to countries where CBD is legal. If your country supports CBD imports, we’ll do our best to get your order to you safely.
Are there any customs fees or taxes on international orders?
Some countries may apply VAT, import taxes, or customs duties when your order arrives. These charges are set by your country’s customs office and are the customer’s responsibility. We recommend checking your local import laws before placing an order to avoid unexpected charges.
What if I can't check out from my country?
If CBD is legal where you live but you’re unable to complete your order, email us at hello@happyguys.co.uk and we’ll assist you.
